3: Tone sandhi of “一(yī)”
When “一” is followed by a syllable in the first, second or third tone, it changes into the fourth tone.
yì zhāng (one sheet/piece)，yì tiáo (one piece)，yì zhǒng (one type)
When “一” is followed by a syllable in the fourth, it changes into the second tone.
yí dìng (sure,certainly)，yí kuài (one yuan)
When “一” is used alone or in a number, it's tone doesn't change.
dì yī (first)，yī èr sān (one,two,three)，xīng qī yī (Monday)，shí yī (eleven)，bǎi fēn zhī yī (one percent)
4: The Adverb 也
Usually an adverb should be put before a verb.
e.g.
Adverb + Verb
也 + 是 : (Also)
不 + 是 : (No)
When the adverb “也” is used with other adverbs, usually it should be put before them.
e.g.
Adverb + Adverb + Verb
也 + 不 + 是 : (Neither)
也：It is an adverb used as an adverbial after the subject, indicating the same as what is mentioned above.
For example:
我 没有 姐姐，也 没有 妹妹。
I don't have a elder sister, No younger sister, either.
