(2) Place / Direction + 是 + n.
这儿 是 体育馆。
This is the gym.
体育馆 东边 是 商场。
The east side of the gymnasium is a shopping mall.
留学生 楼 旁边 是 图书馆。
Next to the foreign student building is the library.
2: The Interrogative Pronoun “哪儿”
An interrogative pronoun “哪儿” used to ask where someone or something is located. This type of question does not use 吗.
For example:
图书馆 在 哪儿？
Where is the library?

Where is the bank?
3: Nouns of location (east, west, south, north)
(east)东，(west)西，(south)南，(north)北 + (side)边
Become
(east side)东边，(west side)西边，(south side)南边，(north side)北边
For example:
体育馆 东边 是 商场。
The east side of the gymnasium is a shopping mall.
商场 在 银行 东边。
The shop is east of the bank.
图书馆 西边 是 体育馆。
The west side of the library is the gymnasium.
