大卫: 玛丽,那 是 谁 的 书?是 你 的 书 吗?
Whose book is that, Marie? Is that your book?
玛丽: 不是,那 是 我 同屋 的 书。
No, that is my roommate's book.
大卫: 是 汉语 课本 吗?
Is it a Chinese textbook?
玛丽: 不是,是《 汉日词典 》。

What dictionary?
玛丽: 《汉日词典》,就 是 汉语,日语 词典。

Chinese Grammars.

1: The demonstrative pronouns “这,那”
” and “” : They are demonstrative pronouns used to enquire somebody or something.
” indicates somebody or something near the speaker, “” indicates somebody or something far away from the speaker.
For example:
老师
This is the teacher's book.
课本
this is the textbook.
爸爸
This is my father.
哥哥
That's my brother.
弟弟
That's my Younger brother.

2: Particular interrogative sentences using question words
A Paticular interrogative sentence in the Chinese language calls for the use of 什么 and other such question words. It has the same word order with a declarative sentence.
For example.

哪国人
What country are you from?
B:
中国人
I am Chinese.

Who is she?
B:
老师
She is a teacher.
(3)
A:
什么 名字
What's your name?
B:
大卫
My name is David.

3: Interrogative sentences with “吗”
” is added to the end of a declarative sentence to make a question.
For example:

Hello!

How are you?
(2)
老师
You are a teacher.
老师 ?
Are you a teacher?
(3)
你们 小狗
There are puppies in your family.
你们
Do you have puppies in your family?
